Most patients treated by our service initially seek care, during their acute hospitalization, at UNC Health Southeastern.
The primary service (Emergency Department, General Medicine, Behavioral Health and OB/GYN) requests consultation from Breeches Buoy Addiction Medicine to provide the following to at risk patients: clinical diagnosis, acute clinical stabilization utilizing medication if indicated, ongoing support through Certified Clinical Peer Support Specialists and acute outpatient care during the interval between hospital discharge and the start of recommended treatment.
The team at Breeches Buoy Addiction Medicine Service specializes in assisting patients suffering from addiction. Our team of certified experts offers acute clinical stabilization, hope and compassion to each patient served.
